Many years ago Johan Horak woke up and felt exited about life and everything new. He wanted to find out how things could be improved. How any practice or procedure could be simplified. He studied the science of materials (metallurgy) and got involved with complex procedures.To understand complex procedures better created and opportunity for Johan to study statistics, computer science and the psychology of marketing. He practiced for a few years and realized how exiting technology is and how it simplified what we do. It’s an amazingly creative process to take a 3 day activity, create a program to simulate it and then implement an alternative that only takes 8 hours. This was the time before the internet and Johan did not know what awaited him and the world. Johan Horak
Eventually understanding what makes people buy took center stage when for the next 10 years Johan became the trader, buying and selling goods. Starting was tuff initially when Johan and his family moved from their luxury home to the first floor of their shop.Eventually they owned three stores.
When the going was good Johan had time to spend on the internet and as a hobby he launched a small internet business. He became a certified webmaster and studied the art of copy writing because the internet was dominated by written communications. Slowly but surely the internet opened a new world to Johan as he met up with the worlds best communicators. They taught him all he knows today about technology, the psychology of selling, how to use words to ensure you keep the attention of your reader.All these studies ensured that Johan was elected to an advisory body with a marketing budget of R5 million. During this time he realized how easily R5 million can be wasted on ineffective TV advertising and how by changing your tact you can create trusting relationships with your clients.

Johan also became the franchisor for a community driven marketing newspaper. This was a time to experiment with the idea that people will only do business with you if they know you, like you and trust you.

This idea was developed when Johan studied the adverts published by small businesses. People advertised but could not understand why nobody came running to spend money with them. They followed a one step process. The idea was to change their marketing to a two step process. Step one was not to sell but to give something for free. This was the opportunity to come to know, like and trust the advertiser which let to step two.

When the stores were sold Johan and his family decided to move to Simon’s Town and open their own real estate agency based on the principles he preaches, using a blog, an e-newsletter exclusive for property owners, two laptops, and an office at home to run the real estate business.

Today Johan offers his knowledge and teaches what he believes, he enjoys reading, photography, creating YouTube.com videos, writing and sharing his knowledge with people who are exited by life.

Johan knows that he’ll rather turn you down than let you down tomorrow.
