| Yes. It’s true. It’s great when someone takes a simple idea and gets four listings and sold one of the listings in no time. Jaco well done. Considering the commissions you earned from the idea, I should increase the subscription to my blog marketing site.Jaco, a subscriber to this marketing blog, used the exclusive articles, he took them and made hard copies, branded it with his logo and contact details. He, printed and distributed the articles to a community of only 300 homes. And the home owners liked his educational articles, he was seen as and expert and they responded in kind. | ![]() |
Scare the daylight out of over-pricing-home-owners.
Let’s consider another article idea for your community of home owners:
In South Africa today you can get 11% interest on your money. (Let’s say the annual house price inflation is also 11%. Ok. I know it may be less but on average.). Consider the home owner with an over priced home. Let’s say the asking price is 2.4 million but it will only sell for 2 million.
For every month that the house is overpriced the owner looses 18 333. After a year the home owner has lost 220 000. Bad news.
Let’s say she doesn’t want to bank the money. No she wants to buy another home. While her overpriced home is in the market the market escalates at 11%. But an over priced home doesn’t really escalate in price. She is stuck! She will eventually get the true selling value of only 2 million. Theoretically she is also loosing 18 333 every month.

I also sold another property to one of the owners that wants to sell his place.
So from using this newsletter for 3 weeks I have gotten 4 listings and 2 sales.
There is obviously more to the sale than the letter but it definitely opens the door to the leads.
The secret to any marketing is consistency and persistence.
