When you start your blog you need to plan your categories ahead of time. And I have prepared a possible list for you.

Please note: Categories allows you to identify similar posts. Therefore it gives your audience an opportunity to find similar articles when they click on a category in your side menu.

You may have many articles discussing property trends in your area. You may create a category “property trends”. But why should you not call it “trends”? Everyone knows your site is about property and if you use “trends” it’s short and descriptive enough.

Let’s continue with more the “trend” category. When you identify a post with the trend category and someone clicks on the trend category then that post (article) and any other article with this category will be shown to the reader. Let’s assume you have various articles on restaurants in your area then you can have a restaurant category.

Here’s a possible list of categories for a real estate community blog.
