Most Wanted Response: What do you want from your blog?
Aug 18th, 2007 by Johan
When you blog you can ramble along. I have not tried it yet and may find it boring but then again a boring blog has a purpose. But if you blog with a real purpose in mind then this post can be helpful.
When I started out on the web I came across the concept called your most wanted response (MWR). (Credit to Ken from Sitesell who shared the concept in this free book. I am not asking you to purchase anything when you read the book. All I want is for you to get more info on the most wanted response).
If you don’t stick to the following about the MWR you should not even consider a blog!
When you blog you, I believe, you’ll only blog with success if you blog to get people to know, to like and to trust you (ToLikeToKnowToTrust = LKT).
This is where most people who blog get dumped
In web terms, your readers will/can only trust you if they know you exist, and if they can read more about you and if they like what they read, they may come to know you. But before they trust you they need time with you….or do you need time with them.
The problem is finding you.
No.
The problem is if you can get them to stick to you.
No. The problem is both.
When they have found you, you must make it easy for them to find you the next time.
The first time they searched and found you through Google. The second time they search they may not find you.
This is bad news.
You must get them to stick to you before they leave. Before they leave you’ll have to intoxicated them with your most wanted response.
You need them to exchange their email address with you so that you can entice them to return when you send out your newsletter…… for more of your magic. Therefore your most wanted response is for your readers to join your newsletter list.
